  • 1 cup breadcrumbs panko breadcrumbs work well
  • ½ cup flour all-purpose
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon seasoning garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper
  • 2 sandwich buns toasted
  • Fresh lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomato
  • Pickles optional
  • Tartar sauce or mayo optional

Method
 

  1. Prep the Fish: Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
  2. Coat the Fish: In a shallow bowl, mix the flour and breadcrumbs with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dip the fish fillets first in the beaten egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring even coverage.
  3. Cook in the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the coated fish fillets in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Assemble the Sandwich: Toast the buns in the air fryer or on a skillet. Spread tartar sauce or mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Place a fish fillet on the bun, then add lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
