  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth or vegetable broth

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  2. Cook beef: In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Prepare vegetables: Slice potatoes, carrots, and dice onion.
  4. Layer casserole: In the prepared dish, layer cooked beef, sliced potatoes, carrots, and onions. Season each layer with garlic powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add sauce: Pour tomato sauce and beef broth over the layers.
  6. Top with cheese (optional): Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 45-60 minutes. Remove foil in the last 10 minutes to melt the cheese.
