Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados peeled and pitted
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1-2 tablespoons water for thinning the dip if needed

Equipment

  • Medium bowl
  • Blender or food processor (optional)
  • Spoon or spatula (for mixing)
  • Measuring spoons
  • Knife for chopping ingredients

Method

  1. In a medium-sized bowl or a food processor, combine the ripe avocados, Greek yogurt, lime juice, cilantro, and minced garlic.
  2. Use a fork or spoon to mash everything together, or blend in the food processor until smooth and creamy.
  3. Season the dip with salt and pepper to taste. If the consistency is too thick, add water a tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired texture.
  4. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, veggie sticks, or fresh fruit like pineapple or mango.

Notes

  • To make the dip extra creamy, you can add a tablespoon of olive oil or more Greek yogurt.
  • This dip can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Just cover tightly with plastic wrap to prevent browning.
  • For extra flavor, try adding a dash of cumin or a few dashes of hot sauce for a spicy twist.
  • If you prefer a chunkier dip, simply mash the ingredients with a fork rather than blending them completely.
