Method
- Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper. Add the thinly sliced beef and let it marinate for 10-30 minutes.
- Prepare Enoki Mushrooms: Trim off the root ends of the enoki mushrooms and separate them into smaller clusters.
- Assemble the Rolls: Take a bundle of enoki mushrooms (4-5 stems) and place them at the end of a beef slice. Roll the beef around the mushrooms. Repeat for the remaining beef slices.
- Cook the Rolls: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the rolls for 2-3 minutes on each side until the beef is cooked through and browned. Add sesame oil and garlic for extra flavor and stir-fry for an additional minute.
- Prepare the Dipping Sauce (optional): Combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and ginger in a small bowl. Adjust with chili flakes if desired.
- Serve: Arrange the beef rolls on a serving platter and serve with the dipping sauce on the side.
Notes
Customization: You can add vegetables such as bell peppers or carrots for extra flavor and texture inside the rolls.
Grilling Option: Grill the rolls on skewers for a smoky flavor instead of pan-frying.
Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.
Spicy Version: Add chili oil or sriracha to the marinade or dipping sauce for an extra kick.
