Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese freshly shredded
  • ½ cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt for lighter version
  • 3 –4 fresh jalapeños finely chopped (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped green onions crumbled bacon, red bell pepper, hot sauce

Method
 

  1. Wash jalapeños, slice them lengthwise, and remove seeds and membranes if desired. Finely chop.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, mixing until creamy.
  4. Fold in shredded cheddar cheese and chopped jalapeños. Stir until everything is evenly blended.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve chilled with crackers, chips, or fresh vegetables

Notes

  • For a milder dip, remove all seeds and membranes from the jalapeños or replace some with bell peppers.
