Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups brewed hibiscus tea chilled
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 –3 tbsp honey or agave syrup adjust to taste
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon or fresh grated ginger optional
  • 1 cup sparkling water or lemon-lime soda optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime or orange slices for garnish
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Equipment

  • Saucepan or kettle (to brew hibiscus tea)
  • Pitcher or large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spoon or whisk for mixing
  • Glasses for serving
  • Optional: blender (for frozen version)

Method
 

  1. Brew hibiscus tea according to package instructions. Let cool completely.

  2. In a pitcher, combine the chilled hibiscus tea, pineapple juice, lime juice, and honey or agave syrup. Stir well to dissolve the sweetener.
  3. Add cinnamon or ginger if desired and mix to combine.

  4. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to let flavors meld.
  5. Just before serving, add sparkling water or soda for fizz if using. Stir gently.
  6. Fill glasses with ice and pour the Jawa Juice over. Garnish with lime or orange slices and fresh mint leaves.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For an adult version, add 1–2 oz of white or coconut rum per serving.
  • Adjust sweetness and citrus according to your taste preferences.
  • Hibiscus tea gives the drink its vibrant red color and tart flavor. If unavailable, cranberry juice can be a substitute but will alter the taste.
  • To make frozen Jawa Juice, blend the mixture with ice until slushy.
  • Store leftover juice (without soda) in the fridge for up to 3 days. Add soda only before serving.
