Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground Chicken or Tofu for a vegetarian option
  • 1/2 cup Water Chestnuts chopped
  • 1/2 cup Carrots shredded
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions chopped
  • 1 head Lettuce Butter lettuce or Iceberg
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce optional
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Fresh Ginger minced
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar optional
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil for cooking
  • 1 tbsp Chili Sauce optional for spice

Equipment

  • Skillet or frying pan

Method
 

  1. Prepare Lettuce: Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Set aside.
  2. Cook Protein: Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat, cook ground chicken (or tofu) until browned.
  3. Sauté Aromatics: Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add Vegetables: Stir in water chestnuts, carrots, and green onions. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add Sauce: Mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, and rice vinegar in a bowl. Pour over the filling, stir, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Assemble Wraps: Spoon the filling into lettuce leaves, serve immediately.
