  • 1/2 to 1 cup fresh strawberries about 6-8 medium-sized
  • 1 cup milk or plant-based milk almond, oat, soy, etc.
  • 1-2 tablespoons sweetener honey, maple syrup, or preferred sweetener
  • 1/2 cup ice optional, for a cold version
  • 2-3 tablespoons water for dissolving matcha

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Matcha: In a small bowl, sift 1-2 teaspoons matcha powder. Add 2-3 tablespoons hot water (not boiling) and whisk until smooth and frothy.
  2. Blend the Strawberries: In a blender, combine 1/2 to 1 cup fresh strawberries, 1 cup milk, and 1 tablespoon sweetener. Add ice if you want a cold drink. Blend until smooth.
  3. Combine: Pour the blended strawberry mixture into a glass, then gently add the whisked matcha on top or stir the two together for a smooth, uniform flavor.
  4. Serve: Stir the drink well and adjust sweetness or consistency if needed. Serve immediately and enjoy!
